STAGING THE KITCHEN
The most important room in the house for selling your home is the kitchen. Take time to make sure it looks spiffy.
SPOTLESS SPACE
You want it to look light and bright and easy for working. Clear the counters of all the extra do-dahs and cans. Move as much as you can to storage to make the cabinets look roomy; buyers will open kitchen drawers. Create space by only have a few beautiful pans displayed instead of bunch of dented ones.
PONDER PAINT
Paint is key. A fresh coat of light, neutral color paint helps create that spotless look that sells.
SCRUB THE SINK
Please, no leaks or drips! If the faucet looks old and dated, replacing it with a new one is not a big investment for a big return in making the kitchen pop.
CLEAN COUNTERS
If the counter tops look old and tired, consider new ones, but stick with neutral colors and quality surfaces... white marble is always popular and shows well.
CHECK CABINETS
Freshen up the cabinets. Replacing the cabinets is expensive and probably doesn't make sense. Many companies now paint cabinets to look like new; or you can just add modern looking pulls for very little money.
LET THERE BE LIGHT
Make sure you have undercounter lights on as well as all the overhead lights.
Buyers really examine the kitchen so open it up by minimalizing ...
The kitchen needs to be spotless.
